The RTIRN is a collection of 180 partners collaborating on road traffic injury research in low and middle income countries. These represent Researchers, Research Institutes, users of research and both public and private agencies. The partners are continuously interacting through an electronic list serve and are linked bi-quarterly through the newsletters. The functions of RTIRN partnership are to

• Give broad direction to the work of RTIRN
• Make recommendation on new board members
• Provide an opportunity for new initiatives in the field of road traffic injury research to be presented and discussed
• Provide an opportunity for networking between agencies individuals involved in road traffic injury research, whether as producers or users
• Provide a platform for debate,advocacy,continued fund raising and inclution of new partners
