RTIRN Board Meeting, Accra, Ghana – December 03, 2009.

December 2009 RTIRN Board meeting event was held in Accra, Ghana. Major decisions which were taken in this meeting are appended below;

It is announced with immense pleasure that the new RTIRN secretariat was selected at this board meeting, and Dr Ricardo Perez Nunez is appointed as the new RTIRN Secretary, with the Entornos Foundation, Mexico, as the new secretariat. Subsequently, Dr. Adnan Hyder is appointed as the new Chair, and Dr. Olive Kobusingye is elected as the new vice Chair, RTIRN Board. Dr. Robyn Norton is selected for the Chair Emeritus position to the Board. Further, the discussion forum was focused on reviewing RTIRN project activities for the World Bank Trust Fund grant, and seeking additional funds to support the network.
