About Us

CREATION OF THE NETWORK

The partnership of the RTIRN evolved from a June 1999 meeting at the Global Forum for Health Research, Geneva , during which the session "Road traffic Injuries in Developing Countries" stirred significant interest among participants. In April 2000, the first meeting of interested partners was held in Kampala , Uganda .  The Global Forum was catalytic in keeping the partners together and provided opportunities to present and discuss their research findings during Annual Forum meetings.

THE SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES OF THE NETWORK ARE

  • To set priorities for road traffic injury research in LMICs.
